AQA A2 ICT4 - Information Systems in Organisations

Stuff for ICT4
- Links and resources organised by topic. This is some of the stuff others have found useful for teaching AQA 6521 ICT4 which you might also find useful. Personally I'm just glad that I've never had to teach this module - it makes trips to the vet seem like a fun activity!!! AFAIK none of the stuff here or hereabouts is endorsed by AQA in any way, shape or form. If in any doubt always refer back to the Official AQA website and the current 6521 specification.

ICT4 Useful Official AQA Stuff

The official AQA 5521/6521 page containing a number of useful documents can be found here Highlights for ICT4 include:

AQA past papers
Past papers and mark schemes. Not as useful as the Psionica database they shamefully closed but... the next best thing.

Examiners' Reports
It's very useful when preparing your revision and practising exam technique to know exactly what the examiner was/is looking for. If you read nothing else read these!

ICT4 Online Resources

General resources for ICT4. Specifications *do* change so get a copy of the current specification here and refer to it when using any of these documents.

A2 Revision Guide
A2 ICT Revision Guide from the KJS. Use this with a good textbook and the links on the left to plan your revision. This booklet also covers ICT5

Teach-ICT.com
Links to ICT4 resources sorted by topic. Teachers should take the time to explore the rest of this site as there's some VERY useful stuff in the OCR section.

ICT4 Terminology
Key words/phrases and what they mean. At this level you should be making use of language which shows an examiner you understand the question set.

ICT4 Checklist
Revision checklist from Kesgrave High School. If you don't understand something on the list you need to talk to your teacher!

WikiBook
Online textbook for ICT4. If you're feeling particularly altruistic you could make your *own* contribution to this project.

ICT-Teacher - A2 Factsheets
Link to page containg a factsheet for each topic in ICT4 (and the other 3 modules). This site also includes some great ppt's for this module

Management Information Systems
Various PowerPoints and exercises for a book on MIS. Teachers might find the stuff in this useful for preparing lessons for ALL aspects of ICT4
